American auto brand Chevrolet has established a partnership with nonprofit organization Earth Force, an organization that encourages young people to be active community citizens and tackle water quality issues by doing hands-on science projects, to discover ten extraordinary educators across the U.S. who are dedicated to motivating their students to be eco-friendly throughout their daily lives. Nominations for the Chevrolet GREEN Teacher Awards will be taken until June 30, 2012, and the winners will be announced on September 1, 2012. K-12 teachers, community-based environmental instructors, and even university professors are eligible, and teachers can even nominate themselves. Everyone knows the Buick Regal was quite the hot seller in the late 1970s, but after the model's death in 1997, some were skeptical about its reappearance a few years ago. How could a car that was once extremely relevant to a previous generation fare in a later one? Very well it seems, the new version of the Buick Regal couldn't be more different from its predecessor, yet it still seems to owe a fair bit of its popularity to these vehicles. After all, the original Buick Regal created the legacy, and now the new Buick is profiting from it.

New GMC Models Receive Special Heritage Edition

There's a new GMC trim level in town, and it goes by the name of "Heritage Edition." Next week, at the New York International Auto Show, the American brand will showcase the special edition Heritage package on several of its new GMC full-size SUV and pickup models, including the 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab, the 2012 GMC Yukon XL, and the standard 2012 GMC Yukon SLT trim. The new Heritage Edition was created in honor of the brand's 100th anniversary.

The new GMC Acadia is refreshed for this year, with new exterior elements that improve its looks, enhanced technology features, an industry-first front center air bag, and improved trim features. Chevrolet Volt Drivers in Tennessee Will Receive $2.5K Rebate

As the EV Project spreads its ways across the United States, Tennessee is now added to the list of six states participating in the project- a national study which focuses on providing electric car charging stations and giving state residents incentives for purchasing electric vehicles. Tennessee residents will be offered a $2,500 tax rebate from the state when they purchase the 2012 Chevrolet Volt, in addition to a federal tax rebate of $7,500.

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program Seeks Stellar Students

There are only a few weeks left to apply for the Buick Achievers Scholarship Program, so start the process ASAP, students! What's this scholarship all about? Well, the program awards two levels of scholarships to passionate, dedicated students across the U.S. for particular majors at approved college. The first level of scholarships includes 100 offerings of up to $25,000- renewable for up to four years of college tuition (or an additional renewable year for five-year engineering programs). The second level is composed of 1,000 one-time awards of $2,000 to go towards college costs.

Not long ago, the 2012 Chevy Camaro achieved  the first-ever perfect score on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's newly revised crash tests, which now includes a rollover category. As it happens, this award was only the first of many for Chevy. The 2012 Chevy Sonic earned the very same honor-a 5-star safety rating.

The HGTV Dream Home Contest, put on by the HGTV channel, is ready to roll again this year with a home in Park City Utah, a 2012 GMC Terrain, and a cash prize of $500,000. The Dream Home Contest is one of America's most popular, as it only requires a quick sign-up to enter the contest which includes such fantastic prizes. Last year's dream home was located in Stowe, VT. This year's winner will be announced on or around March 1, 2012, and the entire prize package is worth over $2 million.
