Buick LaCrosse Next Level

Luxury automaker, Buick, just recently introduced the redesigned LaCrosse to their quickly-evolving lineup. Already, the posh-looking piece of "performance art"1 is attracting quite a following of discerning drivers. It could be for the sedan's understated yet impactful good looks. It could be for its advanced in-car technology. It's expert-tuned handling, first-rate rear seating, envious rear leg-room, class-leading fuel efficiency, award-winning safety, top-of-the-line sound system, or maybe it's all of the above. Buick has not so much as tapped the brakes since the vehicle's release.

Rather, the American automaker has been stepping on the accelerator, looking for way to make the LaCrosse even more luxurious. They're going to show the fruit of their labor's at the L.A. Auto Show via the all-new Buick LaCrosse GL concept. Saint Johnsbury Buick GMC is here to give your the full post-show low down. But, we thought we'd whet your tastebuds first.

With luxury evolved even beyond the favorite 2012 LaCrosse, the new GL concept seems to be modeled after the proverb: It's what's on the inside that counts. Working from a palette of Cabarnet, Dark Cocoa and Caramel, the Buick LaCrosse GL designers modeled the interior seating after the exclusive stylishness of club chairs. And, in glove-like suede the scheme is as rich as it looks.

"The design cues that already distinguish the production Buick LaCrosse - such as premium leather-upholstered seats, ice-blue ambient lighting and soft-tough surfaces - are amplified in the GL and serve as an inspiration for future Buick models," explains David Lyon, Executive Director, Design, Buick Lacrosse.

While the focus seems to be primarily about the interior, Buick hasn't neglected the GL's exterior either. Rather the posh concept gains brushed and tinted chrome accents on everything from the door handles to the window sills as well as machine-face, satin-finish 20-inch wheel rims.
